IA welcomes six new members and partners 

Insurtech Australia has welcomed new members Simfuni, Covertech Australia, Red Planet Software and Thesl, as well as new partners Pacific International Insurance and the Actuaries Institute. 

Simfuni orchestrates insurance invoicing, billing, premium funding and payments into one simple digital payment platform, and will appear on Thursday at an Insurtech New Zealand member event. 

Brisbane-based Covertech Australia says insurance broking is “set to change dramatically” as it will disrupt the industry with advanced technology, new insurer distribution models, and online systems. It has appointed Ausure Head of Communications & Digital GM Steve Sloan as MD, effective December, while Steadfast EGM Technology Chris Rouse and Ausure MD Troy Brown are on the board.   

Red Planet Software provides complete payment solutions specialising in Insurance Premium Finance Software and Professional Fee Finance solutions. Its solutions managing quotes and loans administration through to financial reporting. 

Thesl – which stands for The Silver Lining – leads in procurement and settlement solutions for short-term insurers to ensure the most efficient content replacement claims process. Previously called ValueCard, it has been working with the insurance industry since 2002 to make the processing and settlement of claims simple and efficient. 

Pacific International Insurance partners with niche digital businesses through Binder Holder Agreements, with a focus on experienced MGAs, MGUs or distribution platforms offering a unique proposition in the Australian insurance market.
