Brisbane-based insurtech Covertech Australia has appointed Steve Sloan as MD, effective December, while Steadfast EGM Technology Chris Rouse and Ausure MD Troy Brown are on the board.  

Mr Sloan is currently Ausure Head of Communications & Digital GM, and 247 Systems - VIA CEO. Covertech says he is a skilled and respected leader with a proven track record in the insurance and tech industries. 

"Today marks an exciting milestone for Covertech,” CEO CJ Behne said. “[Mr Sloan’s] successful journey as a founder and digital marketing expert speaks volumes about his ability."  

Franz Allan See has been appointed CTO. Mr Behne says his track record of driving technological advancements and spearheading successful product development makes him the perfect fit to lead the global technical strategy.  

“We are confident that his expertise will be pivotal in scaling our technology infrastructure, enhancing our product offerings, and expanding our presence in international markets.”  

Beaulife Group Director Matthew Beauchamp is also on the board. 

Covertech says insurance broking is “set to change dramatically” as it will disrupt the industry with advanced technology, new insurer distribution models, and online systems.
